Christmas in Holland

Christmas just never stopped for us. We went to Grandma and Grandpa H's Christmas Day and got to sit on Grandpa's "bicycle". Hannah didn't need instruction. She got on the bike and went straight for the handlebars. Mommy doesn't know if she's proud of this or frightened by it. - Dec. 2008

Lindsey talks about the "bike" all the time and couldn't wait to get on.

We opened more gifts. It was hard knowing which toys to open first - the butterfly Barbies, the purses, the crowns or the princess dresses - so we pretty much opened everything.

Mommy was happy we finally decided to wear our Christmas dresses even if it wasn't to church.

Christmas Eve

Mommy had great expectations and bought us pretty dresses specifically to wear to church Christmas Eve. It was a battle of wills in which Daddy finally had to intervene. We wore our glittery shirts and pants instead - and we were late for church. - Dec. 2008

Lindsey shows off her "bring it on Mommy. I won this battle" attitude. (It's a good thing she's so cute.)

Hannah shows a little bling herself.

The three musketeers enjoy a pre-church snack of "red crackers" under the Christmas tree.

Christmas in Jasper

Lindsey opens gifts on Christmas Eve day. We opened gifts, gifts and more gifts, but our favorite was glitter paint. - Dec. 2008

Yea! Movies. Our favorite is "The Little Mermaid II" but Mommy and Daddy are partial to "Kung Fu Panda."

There were so many gifts we didn't know what to open first, plus there were lots of snacks to munch on.

Santa stops in Flat Rock

Santa knew we'd be traveling a lot over the holidays so he stopped in Flat Rock a little early. He brought us fairy costumes and the "Tinkerbell" DVD. We love to dress up and watch the movie. - Dec. 2008

Playing with the ornaments under the tree is just as fun as taking them off the tree. We loved moving the ornaments around so much so that Mommy and Daddy never knew what the tree would look like each day.

Your wish is our command.

Santa Train

Every year, the Indiana Railroad sponsors Santa on the train. Santa travels through several Indiana and Illinois communities on the train and stops at stations to let children aboard to visit with him, Mrs. Claus and all their friends. We drove to Oblong, Ill. to see Santa on one of his many stops. The girls were really excited up until we got close to getting on the train. Lindsey had some issues to attend to and informed Mommy she didn't want to get on the train. Aunt Dionne took Hannah and Ella, while Lindsey and Mommy stayed behind and greeted them when they got off the train. Hannah told Santa she wanted a pink baby for Christmas. - December 2008

Happy Holidays from the Hevrons!

Santa Day at LTC

Every year, Mommy's school has an event called Santa Day. They have all kinds of free games, crafts and we can sit on Santa's lap and tell him what we want for Christmas. I loved all the coloring and crafts, but Lindsey was a little unsure of what to make of all the people, especially Santa. She stayed close to Mommy. We had a great time! Aunt Dionne and Cousin Ella came with us. - Dec. 2008

One thing Lindsey did like at Santa Day was the light display in the library. After Santa Day, we picked up a pizza and ran home for dinner. Then we drove to Palestine to see the Christmas lights. Hannah and Lindsey decided that was their favorite part of the whole day. Ella wasn't so sure about that part.

Tuesday

The Big Top

We went to the Shrine Circus in Evansville the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It lasted more than 3 hours but we had a blast. - November 2008

We especially liked the pretty ladies, the elephants and the tigers.

Silly Girls

We really do have a serious side, but we seldom show it. - November 2008

Budding Artists

Grandma H let us paint on her kitchen table. We try to be neat but we still make a mess. - November 2008
