Slumber Party

Amazing the fun we have when our dads have plans. We went to Cousin Ella's house over the weekend for some fun. We played with all her toys. Hannah already has asked for a Baby Arial doll for her birthday and Lindsey loves the ice cream cone game. (I'm sure in a day or two they will have forgotten all about those things.)

Saturday afternoon we went to the Wesselman Park Nature Preserve and took a hike. It was really hot! We also watched the birds and the squirrels and saw some turtles, snakes and butterflies. They were cool. (Lindsey's words)

Sunday, we visited the pet store and "softed" a bunny before lunch at Wendy's and heading home. We attacked Daddy when we got home. Lindsey even drew blood with a mistimed pounce...lol. It was a great weekend!

Just ducky

Couldn't help but post this. Dionne recently dug out this baby bathtub duck of Ella's. Hannah and Lindsey had the same one when they were little and Lindsey totally latched onto it recently. She doesn't fit in it as well now. But she found enough room to nap in it. - Aug. 2009

Parade Fun

Every year, Jasper has its Strassenfest parade and this year we decided to go. We had fun catching candy and eating suckers. Hannah especially enjoyed her first taste of chewing gum, and everyone was awarded with sunburns. - Aug. 2009.


Ella enjoyed a good portion of the parade from Grandpa's lap.


There are those umbrellas again. Good thing we brought them. Hannah and Lindsey fared better than the rest of us as far as sunburns.

Here's the candy-catching crew including Adam. Lindsey and Dionne were by far the most aggressive candy nabbers!

More Jasper sights and sounds

After our look at the horses, Grandma and Grandpa took us to see the new train parked at the depot (below) and then the newly constructed barn where Mommy took our picture (above). After that, Mommy and Daddy went out to eat without us and Grandma and Grandpa took us to McDonald's. - Aug. 2009

When you say Bud...

As part of the Jasper Strassenfest festivities, the Clydesdales were in town. We visited them at Hedinger Beverage. They are huge and we had a great time looking at them and their dalmation. - Aug. 2009

New Umbrellas - Oh my!

Grandma K. took us shopping for new umbrellas. Lindsey picked out a pink kitty cat and Hannah a blue mermaid. We took them wherever we went all weekend long. - Aug. 2009
